The rescue squad is in better shape now, Mr. Payne said. There are 17 active members running <*alla including two shock trauma technicians and 30 supporting members.
One of the ambulances was recently upgraded to a Medic Unit, and the squad can do more advanced emergency practices with it, he said.
“I like helping people, knowing you’ve made a difference with somebody,” he said. He’s excited about moving into a career that pays him far doing what he likes to da.
