When I was a child my father took me to a kite festival on the mall in Washington, D.C.
The event was well attended. I remember hundreds of dancing kites in all shapes, sizes and colors dotting a sunny sky. It was a vivid and unique moment in my childhood that has led me to plan the first Ben Venue Farms Autumn Kite Festival.
Modeling this event on the Smithsonian’s annual kite festival, we are planning competitions, exhibitions and concessions. There will be competition in various categories and age groups.
