The Battle of Normandy Foundation also was involved in building the Memorial Museum in Caen, France. It has had over one million visitors since it opened June 6, 1988. The foundation also sponsors a Normandy Scholars Program to provide assistance to American university students who want to study the causes andresujts of World War II.
