May 15, instant, I met with Arnold and Danielle Jolly Hudlow from Connell, Washington. Mrs. Hudlow is a great-great-granddaughter of Addison Edward and Susan Virginia Bailey Bolen, who were both Rappahannock County natives. Addison and Susan migrated first to Ohio, then North Dakota, and finally to** the state of Washington. The Bolen connection is very numerous since our common ancestor, Edward Bolen (1809-1976) was father of 17 children, 14 of them by his first wife, Mary Bowen.
Neither of the Hudlows had ever been east, and after their retirements, having been accquanited with our most estimable late cousin
