The store first opened four years ago, and specializes in local history, fiction and children’s books. Special orders are also welcome.

From the back room of the store, customers may also rent videos from Joyce Kramer’s collection at the bargain price of $3 a week.

Jeanie Redfield, former owner of the Trading Post, rents one-third of the space for native American art for her new business, “Red Fields.” According to Susan Parrish, Ms. Redfield makes shopping trips herself out west to purchase the art directly from Native Americans.
