Proceeds from the first annual Ben Venue Farms Autumn Kite Festival will benefit two organizations. A minority of the funds will be donated to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, whose funds have been recently cut, for the Washington, D.C. Kite Festival and for preserving 1 the museum’s national kite collection. Locally, the festival will help aid the Piedmont United Way in assisting abused women and children.
The Ben Venue Farms first annual Autumn Kite Festival will be held September 10 on the Old Dominion Hunt Point to Point race course. The charge will be $10 per car.
