fore lunch, and after conversing with him, I discovered he too was a Rappahannock native. So was Mr. Estes (Earl I think his first name was), another member of the band.
On Memorial Day, Bob and Earlene Stetzel, Buddy and Shirley Berry, their daughter Melida and her husband and daughters and myself, made the trek up to the Bolen Cemetery, this time in 4 x 4s. This was the Stetzel’s third trip to the cemtery. After we spent sometime there we drove back to Sperryville where Earlene purchased some locally made apple butter to take back to her uncle Melvin Dwyer. We dined at the Appetite Repair Shop, and the said our good-bys.
The Stetzel’s send greetings to all their relatives, especially Joe and Frances Dwyer of Middletown; Clyde and Lille Pullen of Sperryville and Elizabeth Keates of Front Royal. They came by train, a four day journey, and will be leaving the same way this Friday, Juhe 3.
