When baking with honey, bake at a temperature 25 degrees lower than the recipe calls for. Many use honey in baking due to the extra moistness added to cakes and breads. This added moistness prolongs the shelflife of these baked goods.

Here is a recipe from the National Honey Board for a Queen Bee Apple Pie, an apple pie sweetened with honey which seems appropriate since our local apple crop is being harvested.
