Where in all this, I wonder, is the voice of the school superintendent? He was quoted in the article, but he seems not to have a thing to say in support of these programs. Shouldn’t he be the one to explain the benefits of special education to your readers?
How' are the parents and teachers of special education students supposed to feel? And how about those students themselves? They have a hard enough time without being made jo feel—explicitly by this paper and implicitly by the school superintendent—that they are not worth the cost and bother.
