Photo Exhibit

There is a photo exhibit now showing at The Mountain Store in Criglersvilie on weekends, which will continue until Valentine's Day. The photo’s are a collection of scenes and popular activities in and around Madison County and surrounding counties.

The photos were taken by retired Dr. Ken McCoy, now owner of the Rose River winery in Syria. The sharp black and white photos have been mounted and famed for the exhibit, which is a first time showing of his work. The careful selection of topics, an#the sharp images remind one of the well known Ansel Adams photos. Many viewers find themselves staring at one picture for several minutes, especially the photos with people’s faces.

Regional Director To Address Group

State legislative issues concerning education, including Charter Schools, will be discussed with Andrea Mutterer, Director of the Regional Office for the Virginia Kducation Association. Benefit Valentine's Dance

Valentine’s Benefit Dance for Spring Mountain School will be held Eeb. 18 at the Washington fire hall. The Wafers, with several guest musicians, including Julie Coon, Vincent Day, Smiggy and Bill Abernathy . Warm-up by L.isa Leftw ich, Hric, and David Blanchard. Admission is $5. Beer will be sold.
