As an observer of local government and school actions, I can guess that an_\ request for new monies for programs or serv ices will be met with chillv response from the Supervisors or the School Board. But, there is no reason why the request cannot be made, w ith the hopes that the climate will improve in time.
I propose that the community and parents of students become aware of the facts supporting the request for a full time salary to the Art teacher in Rappahannock County Schools. They may do so at the Rappahannock Hlementary School on Keb. 13, at the P l O’s Mondav night meeting. Harriet Rosenblatt, the part-time art teacher, will be there to plead her case and look for parent support. She will also present her case to the School Board the following night.
