Before the Rappahannock schools were integrated in 1967, Black children attended one and two room elementary schools located in and near the towns. There were no high schools open to Black students in the county. People living in the county today and in several surrounding counties will recall their experiences in these schools at the “Friday at the Library” program at 8 p.m. on Feb. 10
