Until the budget is passed, which will probable not happen until the waning hours of this session, those who have agreed to support a full restoration of funding could instead support a lesser amount, he said.
" I he best scenario for our budget amendment would be that it's whole and intact in both houses," he saidl ‘These are questions for tight dollars. We understand there are a lot of needs."
He said he hopes Gov. Allen takes into consideration the strong support extension programs have received from voters. “We would hope he would take that as an indication that these are programs that pro\ ide for the needs of the people and really return some value for the taxpayer's dollar. .
“He’s got his priorities, and we feel these programs fit into his priorities: education, economic development, and giving people the skills to move off welfare.”
