I must say that! was extremely disturbed by Senator Kevin Miller's proposed changes to the school calendar as reported in the Jan. 11 issue of the Rappahannock .Yens.
What the Senator proposes is a radical departure from the timehonored tradition of giving students the summer off so that the\ can not only help out on the farm, as they do in rural counties, but also so that they can participate in family vacations, which folks usually take in the summer months in order to take advantage of the uood weather.
