W.T. Winkler
William Thomas Winkler, 74, died on Jan. 22 in Boston.
He was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Hewlett, to the late Walter Thomas and Fima Cornelia Fdminston Winkler.
Mr. Winkler worked at the ship>ard in Wilmington, N.C. and worked tor the Rochester Rope Corporation for •! 9 years.
I le was a member of Six. Lebanon Baptist Church Mr. Winkler loved farming and devoted his time to operating his own farm.
He is surviving by his wife of 37 .'cars, Hilda Brown Winkler; one daughter. Hilda Kathryn Winkler Higginbotham of Orange; fourbrothers. W infred Winkler and Conway Winkler, both of Charlottesville, Phillip Winkler of Locust Grove and Charles W inkler of Meritt Island. Fla. and one sister. Nell Sprouse of Sun City. Fla.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren. Robert Kent Higginbotham and Fli/abeth Carlvle Higginbotham.
Mr. Winkler was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Carly le Winkler; one brother, Frank W inkler and one sister. Daisy Gadow.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p m. on Wednesday . Jan. 25 at Found <£ Sons Chapel with Rev. Tom Wiles officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
