Quartet in'G Major, Opus 18, No. 2 by Beethoven, and the String Quartet, 1990 by Judith Weir. In a recent review of the London premiere of this last work, The Times (of London) wrote of “Judith Weir’s austerely beautiful String Quartet” and commented “This was 15 minutes that passed like five.” The Times, Dec. 6, 1995.
