initially started Stringfellow Logging Company and then founded Stringfellow Turf until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alberta F. Stringfellow; one daughter, Nancy M. Jenkins of Culpeper; three sons, James F. Stringfellow of Amissville, Carroll E. Stringfellow and Glenn A. Stringfellow, both of Boston.
He is. also survived by three brothers, Clyde Stringfellow of Rixeyville, Jack Stringfellow of Culpeper and Dallas Stringfellow of Warrenton.
Additional survivors include six grandchildren, Kimberly Stringfellow, Jamie Stringfellow, Deanna Barnes, Mark Stringfellow, Kenny Stringfellow and Harvey Jenkins Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Megan Jenkins and Sarah Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Cannon and Ethel Deal and one brother, Edward Stringfellow.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 17 at Found and Sons Chapel with the R. Mark Jarvis and the Rev. Kevin Walton officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
