Miss Sheila Knighting has been named to the dean’s list for outstanding achievements during the fall semester at Longwood College.
Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a Friday overnight guests of. her brother and sister-in-lqw, Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier on Castleton Ford Road and on Saturday they motored to Winchester to visit their aunt, Mrs. Nettie D. Corbin and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Dodson. En route home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Billy Peregory and Mrs. Lucille Peregory in Front Royal. Mrs. Atkins also visited Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rutherford on Castleton Mountain Road before returning to her home.
Miss C.P. Peyton of Stafford spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Peyton.
Boy Scout Joseph Peregory attended the Kite Festival at Ben Venue on Saturday.
Navy Seaman Richard Baker who has been on a two month deployment to the Adriatic Sea, near Bosnia has returned to Gaeta, Italy. He. is serving aboard the U.S. Sixth Fleet flagship, U.S.S. La Salle. Baker, the son of Mr. ^ and Mrs. Richard Baker, Sr. of Reva is one of 511 sailors aboard the ship and he has been in the Navy since May, 1992.
There is still a need for furniture, sporting equipment, bicycles and appliances for the second annual benefit auction sale for the Reva Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company which will be held Saturday, May 4 at .the Culpeper Agriculture Enterprises.
