It has been a discouraging week fof'the RCHS softball team as they lost four more games.
*' Last Tuesday in a home game the ■ Paitther squad went down 19 to 2 to Brentsville. Early in the game pitcher Katy Paratore was hit in the face by a line drive back to the mound. Kylene Wolfe came in in relief. RCHS got only two hits by Courtney Welch and Kylene Wolfe. “That’s the best team in the district. They have two real good pitchers, and we faced one and couldn’t get hits off her,” Coach Carl Payne said.

Last Wednesday evening Rapp’s trqck team defeated Page by ten points tocome in second. The team, however, could not manage to get ahead of their host opponent, Brentsville.
.'“We knew we had to make up for Monday’s bad loss, and it worked pretty well,” Emily Sims stated.
All of the girls agreed the highlight of the event was that they had more points than the boys 48 to 47. i “I think we did pretty good over I alii and we had good team work too. f Tlie work we need now is in the pracI tices,” added Tommy Baldwin.
