WKen the school budget was adopted last spring the high school French teacher position had been reduced to half time. Somehow over the summer it was restored to a fulltime position, although with one section of eighth grade physical science thrown in.
Christy Sander will be teaching two sections of French I, one section each of French II. and III, one section of language exploratory introducing all the eighth graders to French and the one section of physical science.
Shfc comes to RCHS with two years experience teaching French at Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly. She said since she was living in the Washington area, she wanted to make more of a contribution to Rappahannock County than she could at WCDS where most of the students come from outside the county. She also works at 4 and 20 Blackbirds for Sunday brunch.
Ms. Sander graduated from James Madison University in 1994 with a double major in French and English
