Then in 1968 the other two churches decided to become independant. With too small of a congregation to continue on its own, the Flint Hill Baptist Church ended its services. In August 1969 the church ceased to have Sunday School as well.
“It was too pretty of a church to see sitting here idle,” one member, Arland Welch, said.
