Edward Pendleton and Mary Ethel Duncan.
Mr. Duncan served as a deacon at the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and was a member of the Salem Ruritan Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Josephine Hawkins Duncan, are two sons, Phil Duncan of Ohio and Bill Duncan of Luray; one daughter, Gwen Padgett of Fairfax; one brother, Kemp Duncan; two sisters, Fannie Clatterbuck and Louise Batten; 10 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Madison Duncan Jr., four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Dec. 27 at the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church by the Tom Wiles, the Rev. Dan Gregg, and his son the Rev. Philip Duncan. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
