Annie Weakley
Annie Virginia Weakley, 83, of Castleton, died on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at The University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was bom June 17, 1913, in Rappahannock County to the late Will and Delsie Butler Hitt.
She is survived by four daughter, Louise F. Moubroy of Gordonsville, Sue J. Davis of Amissville, Geneva A. Williams of Culpeper and Patricia L. Brockman of Orange and six sons, Frank E. Knighting of Madison, Roy Lee Knighting of Castleton, Daniel Nelson Weakley Jr., Clarence E. Weakley and Floyd E. Weakley, all of Culpeper and Robert E. Weakley of Fredericksburg.
She is also survived by three sisters, Erma Jenkins of Washington, Lena Shifflett of Barboursville and Lucille Dellinger of Alexandria and four brothers, Arthur Hitt, Turner Hitt and Taylor Hitt, all of Culpeper and Downing Hitt of Castleton.
Additional survivors include 19 grandchildren and a number of greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Nelson Weakley and one son, Wayne Bruce Weakley.
Graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at Culpeper National Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Shifflett officiating.
