Jack Upham
Jack Yates Upham, 88, died Jan. 2 at his home in Bridgewater. He moved to Bridgewater in 1973 from Annandale.
He was bom on Feb. 10, 1908, in Chicago, 111. and was a son of the late Glenn Wakley and Gertrude C. Yates Upham.
He was a member of the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren, the Eureka Masonic Lodge Number 195 in Bridgewater. He worked for the > U.S. Government as a Civil Engineer, 1 where he retired after 36 1/2 years of service.
On Jan. 24,1932, he wqs united in marriage to Lorena MaJ,(Lillard) Upham who survives. r
Surviving in addition to his wife is , one son, Jerry L. Upham of Charles ; Town, W.Va.; two daughter, Millicent U. Mabis of Madison, Ala. and Jacqueline U. Oliver of Fairfax Station; ten grandchildren and four ' great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with burial ! were conducted Sunday, Jan. 5 in the i Oaklawn Cemetery at Bridgewater. [ The Rev. Robert E. Alley officiated. , The Eureka Masonic Lodge conducted 1 . the Masonic grave rites. *
