To the Editor:

What a joy it is to be a part of the Amissville community. It really showed what Christmas is all about by all the generous donations of food and money.

Food boxes were filled, fruit baskets prepared, and flowers were purchased to be distributed to the less fortunate, elderly, and shut-ins. Seventy homes and area residents in nursing homes were visited.

This was, as always, a joint effort by the Amissville Ruritan Club, the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, the Baptist Church and the Bethel Baptist Church. They wish to thank everyone for their donations and the folks who took the time to deliver these gifts.

Also a special thanks to the Brownie Troop # 632 of the Skyline Girl Scout Council, Lombardy Restaurant, and the Amissville Health
