now qualify for regional competition at Madison County High School on March 5. They are: Nathan Flinchum, Nancie Gallegos, Dawn Havstad, Chad Heddleston, Rachel Koski, Chris McLear, Rob Reeve, Emily Sims and Lauren Sharp. First and second place winners at regionals advance to state on March 22 at UVa.
The Culinary Arts class at the high school provided a buffet with specialty sandwiches, ice cream sundaes, various snacks and refreshments. Food planning and preparation was by seniors Eve Proper and Toby Sealock.
Serving as judges were: Robert Anderson, Christine Antram, Diana and Lee Bird, Elizabeth Blubaugh, Paige Coombs, Jeanne Grimes, Sherry Groves, Sharon Kilpatrick, Jeff Light, Bonnie Lofton, Lois Manookian, John McCarthy, George Sharp, Rose Ann Sharp, Grace Sims, Laurel Van Horn and Frank Warner. The RCHS forensics coach is Jon Heddleston.
