Who Helped
To the Editor:
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank each and everyone for their expressions of concern after our accident.
I wish to say a very special thank you to the Amissville and Little Fork Rescue units. Without your swift and professional actions that night, a terrible accident could have been a terrible tragedy.
We feel fortunate to live in such a wonderful community as Rappahannock County.

To the Editor:
I have waited patiently to see if someone else would confront the “Fairfaxing” of this county. But as most of us I have to work for a living and do not have the time to always pursue the truly important things. So as I watch the paper and find that the supervisors are still pursuing the acquisition of land to put a “recycling’’ center on it frightens me that no one has put a stop to it.
The “Acquisition” of land against someone’s will is theft plain and simple. And when the elitist Board of Supervisors admits that most of the citizens do not want to move the dumpster sites but would prefer to keep them where we already own the land, and then go into “executive session" (which means in secret) to decide to go ahead. I believe we are being lied to.
