In Rappahannock County Circuit Court last Thursday, Judge W. Shore Robertson said that George D. Coldsmith, 25, of Chambersburg, PA had violated the terms and conditions of his probation and found him guilty of possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Last August, Mr. Coldsmith pleaded guilty to the two charges but was granted deferred adjudication because he was a first offender. That means that the two charges would have been dismissed in August 1997 if Mr. Coldsmith had complied with the terms and conditions of the deferred adjudication.
The terms of his probation were that he be of good behavior, remain drug-free, be supervised by the Fauquier County Adult Court Services and pay costs of $971.75 on or before Feb. 1, 1997.
