What would you do if a doctor told you that you had a life-threatening heart condition and there was nothing anyone could do about it? Would you believe him or her? Or, would you get at least a second opinion?
Charles Embrey. 54, of Flint Hill was told that — and he believed it. Mr. Embrey, a hum manager, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure ten years ago. The months and years rolled slowly by and he worked long hours on the farm and seemed to be fine.
