Chris is enrolled in an EMT class now, and is certified in EVOC (he can drive the ambulance and the brush truck), CPR, hazmat (hazardous materials), and vehicle extrication. Upon completion of the EMT class, he plans to take the shock trauma class and a more advanced vehicle extrication class.
Chris said that Samantha Moore, who is a student at RCHS, has recently put in an application to join Chester Gap.
John Pearre and Brian Flock run with Amissville Fire and Rescue.
John, an 18-year-old senior at RCHS, joined in 1994, at the same time his dad joined. “I always wanted to be a firefighter,” he said. He began studying firefighting at Piedmont when he was a tenth grader, and has completed Firefighting I and II and hazmat operations. He runs both fire and rescue calls, but prefers firefighting.
When he turns 19, he plans on applying to either Fairfax or Prince William County
