How beautiful this simple scene in God's world...a creek that ripples and sparkles, reflecting the sun as it gurgles through the wilderness. Now picture a still pood...no rippling...no gurgling. Which would you rather experience? Would it perhaps be the creek? It just seems to have a happy personality, don't you agree?
Note that it took a myriad of stones of all shapes and sizes, and certainly twigs, a fallen branch here and there, for the water to develop those ripples that lap at the stones so merrily.
W'e develop our personalities similarly. As we travel through life, there are rocky times when the path is made rough by unforeseen disappointments and sorrow. Yet, as we trust our Heavenly Father to guide us, we emerge with new peace and wisdom that inspires happiness in ourselves and in others.
