Kappahannock County Republicans will celebrate the achievements and legacy of President Ronald Reagan on Saturday evening, March 14, 1998 at their Reagan Day Dinner.
The featured speaker is Lyn Nofziger who began his political career in 1966 as press secretary to Ronald Reagan, who was running for governor of California at the time. He also served as Reagan’s director of communications and chief speech writer.
Nofziger has had a close personal relationship with President Reagan for more than 30 years. When Reagan was inaugurated as president, he became the Reagan’s assistant for political affairs. Reagan biographer Lou Cannon once wrote that Nofziger is the best press secretary Reagan ever had.
