trial last week, Jeffrey Allen Costello was charged with DUI and sentenced to one year in jail, all but two months suspended and that to be served on work release. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine and his driver’s license was revoked for an indefinite period of time as this was his third DUI offense.

Witnesses for the prosecution testified that they had stopped Costello on Route 634 when he appeared to be driving recklessly and after he stopped he verbally threatened them. Mary Jane Swift, of Route 634, called the sheriff’s office and a deputy responded. Costello was arrested and Swift asked for a peace bond which the court agreed to and set at $200.
