Musical kudos
Local bands releasing original album,
CDs and looking for support
Rappahannock’s own Everything Band and
Southern Persuasion are both expecting a big
weekend.
The Everything Band has just made a national release of their album “Super Natural” which will be available locally at Mountainside Market and Cabin Fever Books. They will also have an area CD release show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Friday. A bus will leave Rappahannock at 7:30 p.m. from Washington to take fans to the club in support of the group. There are several spaces left. Interested persons should call 987-9417.
Southern Persuasion, also a local band, is having a dance at the Flint Hill fire hall Saturday, from 9 p.m. to whenever. They are raising money to finish the recording and duplication of their CD which they hoped to have finished by June.
These are two more local examples of the wealth of talent residing in Rappahannock. If you have the time, check out one of these groups this weekend and show your support of local artists. Or, better yet, get a copy of their new CDs when they come out.
