It so happens that the new site, Mount of the RoCk Farm off Route 605, lies in' Culpeper County. Road access, however, is mainly via Rappahannock County" roads. These roads seem "1 quite unsuitable to carry tiff additional traffic likely to be generated by the proposed recreation center. All other' arguments presented before ‘ the Rappahannock Board in respect of the Huntly site also would seem to apply equally in respect of the neW site. Considering the presently quite unspoilt nature of the Hughes River, some of those arguments may apply with even greater force.
Residents of this neighborhood and others concerned with road safety and environmental protection will certainly want to be ' watchful not to miss an opportunity to raise their - concerns before the proper ’ authorities. These are, in the first instance, the | Culpeper County authori- ■ ties. But they also would like to be assured that their own, the Rappahannock County authorities will use whatever channels may be available to represent their residents’ interests before the authorities of the neighboring jurisdictions. 11
