She was born in Rappahannock County on Sept. 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Edwin and Laura Settle Scroggins.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack Smith Woodard.

Survivors include a son Thomas Walker of Bealeton; a daughter Maureen Kaiser of Washington and one grandson T.J. Walker.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 7 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Olsen.

Contributions may be made in Mrs. Woodard’s name to the American Heart Association.

Clore-Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
