At the top of his list are:
• Providing an excellent and affordable education to Rappahannock’s children, whether they pursue academic or vocational programs;
• Preserving the character and beauty of the county; and
• Controlling Rappahannock’s property tax rate by closely managing county revenues and expenditures.
Lee feels that his experience on the school board gives him a unique understanding of school finances and education, and will enable him to make the proper school-related decisions as a supervisor.
His attendance at the Piedmont Technical School and presidency of the local chapter of the Vocational and Industrial Clubs of America provided him with an appreciation for the value of technical and vocational education in Rappahannock, and he said that he will be a strong advocate for such training at Rappahannock County High School.
His stance on preservation of the county’s character and beauty, he says, relate directly to preserving Rappahannock’s farms.
