Stonewall-Hawthorne District’s new supervisor, Robert Anderson was sworn in by County Clerk Diane Bruce before the supervisors’ meeting on Monday. Mr. Anderson was appointed last week to fill the vacancy created by Nelson Lane’s resignation.
Rappahannock’s annual rite of spring, the Fodderstack 10K Road Race, will be held on April 15. The race beings just north of Flint Hill and finishes in front of the courthouse in Washington. The sponsors report about 75 runners already pre-registered. The Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs’ Shenandoah District has nominated one of our own, Florence Nordone, to become the next district president in May.
