• The latest edition of the RCHS Rapport newspaper is on newsstands in the county now. Or you may pick one up at RCHS. The quality of this paper is quite good and a real bargain for 50 cents. Ms. Cynthia Cumins sponsors the Journalism Class which publishes this literary masterpiece!
• Through a wonderful partnership with George Mason University and RCHS the two schools may now communicate on-line to further educational opportunities for RCHS students. The institute for Bio-Informatics, and BioTechnology (IB3) at GMU recently provided two high speed computers that will provide the link to that campus. Dr. Clark Tibbetts, Director of IB3, and Rappahannock resident, was largely responsibility for making this a reality. Carl Aplin, member of the Public Schools Technology Advisory Committee, assisted with the set-up of these computers and training.
• Bob Ryan, Channel 4 meteorologist and Rappahannock resident, in cooperation with Mrs. Beth Gall who oversees the 4WINDS weather station at RCHS, has arranged for funding which links RCHS to hundreds of other schools across the country via the internet.
