One of his clients’ most popular demands is small man-made ponds. He said, “ I build and design small ponds. If you want to hear a creek outside your window. I can put one in. If you want a waterfall, I can put one in.”
Smoot said, “ I want the landscaping work here in Rappahannock. I will build things the way they want it built.”
He is completely service oriented when it comes to landscaping, “I work with them as we go along. If something doesn’t look right, we’ll change it.”
As opposed to landscaping with wood, he likes using rocks. He explains some other services that he has recently done, “we’ve put in some retaining walls and sidewalls, brick pavers, and stop sign shaped sidewalks set in sand.” Talk about alliteration!
Blue Ridge Gardening and Landscaping officially opened March 27. The business is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. And in case the space in your car is limited, he will deliver for free within ten miles. Deliveries can only be done after 5 p.m., though.
