Reagan Day dinner set
James C. Miller, President Reagan’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget and member of the National Security Council, will speak at the Reagan Day Dinner to be held on Saturday, April 10. This free event is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Republican Committee and will be held at the Washington Volunteer fire hall at 6 p.m. For free tickets call Walter Longyear at 675-3679.
Irish music, dancing planned
The Old Sperryville Bookshop and Coffee House will present a free program of Irish traditional music and dance on Sunday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
The Charlottesville based band, Eels in the Sink, will perform traditional Irish songs on fiddle, guitar, tin whistle and other instruments, while their teenage troupe of step dancers perform jigs, reels and other traditional Irish dances. The band played to an overflow crowd at the Sperryville bookshop in March and is returning for an encore performance.
The bookshop and coffee house is located in a centuryold former Episcopal church in the historic village of Sperryville at 44 Main Street, across from the post office. There is no admission charge for the program. For more information call 987-8444.

Open house at Wakefield
An open house will be held at Wakefield Country Day School in Flint Hill on Sunday, April 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to tour the school, meet students, faculty and parents.
