Are you interested in protecting and improving the natural resources of Rappahannock County?
Concerned about water quality? Soil erosion? Forestry? Land Use? If you are, then you may wish to become a Director with the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District.
The District is responsible for developing conservation programs in the counties of Culpeper, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and Greene, and providing technical and Financial assistance to land users.
The programs of the District are diverse and range from helping landowners install conservation practices, to assisting counties with erosion and sediment control responsibilities, to providing education programs, to assisting financially with conservation projects. District responsibilities include all that can affect water quality.
The Culpeper District is currently looking for concerned individuals interested in becoming Directors. Directors have a direct say in how the district deals with many important natural resource issues: water quality, forestry, agricultural best management practices and soil erosion.
