Beekeepers to meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its April meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building at the corner of Davis Street and South West Street. Saturday, April 10: “Blue Ridge to the Bay” second Saturday hike series to upper Rappahannock River tributaries along trails in the Shenandoah National Park. Destination: south fork of the Thornton River along the Buck Hollow and Buck Ridge Trail loop, with optional peek into Shenandoah Valley near Mary’s Rock. Meet at Mountainside Market between 8:30 and 9 a.m. with food for self and layered clothing according to the weather of the day. Return mid-afternoon.
Saturday, April. 10: “Blue Ridge to the Bay” speaker series. Featured speaker: Rolf Gubler, Natural Resource Specialist, will give a presentation on the Peregrine Falcon Recovery Program in the Shenandoah National Park.
