Vineyards receive
numerous awards
Gray Ghost Vineyards
Continuing it§ international and national recognition, Gray Ghost Vineyards was recently awarded silver medals for its 1998 Chardonnay and 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon in the 18th annual VWGA Virginia Wine Competition.
These awards now bring to 19 the number of medals the winery has received to date in 1999. This includes two medals received in California at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition and the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition.
Both California awards were received for its 1997 Reserve Chardonnay produced from estate grown grapes. Wines produced at Gray Ghost are made from fruit grown in the Rappahannock area, a recognized area for growing quality wine grapes.
