It is commonly thought that, since school is in session from late August to early June, the building closes down and all school employees have three months of leisure time. It’s easy to see why many folks believe this, so I’d like to use this space to help eliminate this understandable misconception.
The fact is, a large number of children and staff members occupied the elementary school this summer for a variety of reasons, as is the case every year.
Summer school was held at RCES again this summer, serving students in grades one through seven. Children were recommended for summer school based on their progress this past school year. This help is in addition to other programs offered during the regular session,
