Ms. Lyn Rothgeb of the US. Park Service and Shenandoah National Park stresses that we shouldn’t count out the color season just yet. “It’s too early to tell,” says Ms. Rothgeb.
Colors normally peak in the park between Oct. 10 and 25. And while drought conditions will tend to cause leaves to drop prematurely, Ms. Rothgeb noted that the park has shown no signs of losing much foliage at this point.
