When one hears the words “handicapped accessibility”, they normally think of providing access for people in wheelchairs. But County Administrator John McCarthy points out that there are more ways that a person can be disabled.
“Don’t think of disability as just being in a wheelchair,” said McCarthy in a recent interview. Other disabilities, such as hearing or sight impairments, can be harder to address.
