In 1979, Lee-Harris found her way back to where she was raised, Fort Wayne, Ind. after living all over the country and abroad. There she studied with a German physiotherapist, Dr. McLane, and began to work as a therapist.

After five years in Indiana, Lee-Harris relates, “I ended up in a bam outside of New Market, Va., studying organic gardening with Alan Chadwick who was an Englishman who created Frenchintensive, biodynamic farming.”

This style of farming is 100 percent organic. Machinery is not employed in any way.
