Blueridge Technologies, a subsidiary of Metters Industries in McLean, Va., began in Flint Hill 12 years ago with three employees. The company, which now has 25 employees, was purchased by divine interVentures of Chicago on Nov. 19.
The name of the company will remain the same for now, as will the staff and the operations. But there are proposed changes for the future. A larger staff and new equipment are in the works.
divine interVentures is owned by Andrew “Flip” Filipowski. His goal has been to create an Internet Zaibatsu, which stands for a Japanese form of interrelated companies that derive strength from one another.
