I was struck by the comments of former School Board member, Mr. Ron Makela in the Nov. 17 issue of the Rappahannock News. Mr. Makela characterized as “unfortunate” that certain political opponents advocate vouchers, tax credits, and home schooling in an effort to foster competition in our public schools.
